CRT Suspends Procedural Deadlines

The Plenary of Mexico's new Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (Comisión Reguladora de Telecomunicaciones - CRT) has issued an official agreement to suspend deadlines for all procedures, services, and processes under its authority. This measure is intended to provide legal certainty during a transitional period, following the recent integration of the new CRT Plenary which is taking over responsibilities from the former Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT).

Key Details of the Suspension:
  • Suspension Period: All procedural deadlines and terms are officially suspended from November 7, 2025, to November 14, 2025
  • Document Reception:The CRT's Official Parts Office (Oficialía de Partes) will continue to receive documents as normal during regular business days and hours.
  • Validity of Actions: Any actions or proceedings carried out during the suspension period will be considered legally valid

  • Manufacturers and applicants with ongoing procedures should take note of this temporary suspension. Normal operations for deadlines and terms are expected to resume on November 15, 2025.
