Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) has officially published Issue 3 of Radio Standards Specification RSS-252, following a prior public consultation. This updated standard applies to Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) on-board units operating within the 5895–5925 MHz frequency range.

The new issue replaces Issue 2 and introduces several key updates, including a newly added section outlining channel allocation, additional clarification regarding transmitter power limits, and revised requirements for unwanted emissions. Minor editorial adjustments have also been incorporated to improve clarity and consistency throughout the document.

RSS-252 Issue 3 came into force upon publication in December 2025 and provides the latest regulatory framework for manufacturers and stakeholders developing ITS equipment for the Canadian market.
