MIC of Vietnam have now officially released Circular 11/2020/TT-BTTTT updating the list of devices subject to MIC Type Approval and DoC. The new Circular will come into effect from 1st July 2020.

Some of the key changes brought by Circular 11/2020/TT-BTTT include:

Addition of newly-introduced National Technical Regulations QCVN 86:2019/BTTTT and QCVN 119:2019/BTTTT.

Addition of terminal devices, base stations and repeaters used in 5G cellular networks to the list.

Wireless inductive loop chargers, telemetry instruments, MISC and MITS medical devices, 60 GHz band devices, maritime radar and wireless digital video transmission devices moved to the list of products subject to mandatory Declaration of Conformity only.

Exemption of certain test items from the national technical regulations.

Venezuela Updates Type Approval Certificate Validity Under SIGESTEL

CONATEL, through the SIGESTEL platform, has updated the validity framework for type approval certificates in Venezuela. While certificates issued during the initial SIGESTEL implementation phase were standardized to a one-year validity period, newly issued certificates are now being granted with indefinite validity. Existing certificates will remain valid until their expiry date, after which new applications submitted through SIGESTEL will be issued under the updated framework.
