ANATEL Act No. 14158

On October 1, 2025, Brazil’s National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) published Act No. 14158, introducing updates to the country’s regulatory framework for restricted radiation radiocommunication equipment.

The Act revises two key regulations:
- Act No. 14448/2017 – Technical Requirements for Conformity Assessment
- Act No. 237/2022 – Test Procedures for Conformity Assessment

These updates apply to the following:
 - Millimeter wave devices
 - Wireless access systems operating in the 5150–5350 MHz band
 - Transmission systems for audio, video, and other applications
 - Specific test procedures for wireless broadband LAN systems
