Changes to SRRC Type Approval Process

China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MITT) published, on October 14th 2019, announcement No. 39 bringing the following changes: 

1- Should any of the following changes occur for products type approved after October 14th 2019, the applicant shall submit an application for type approval change to the national radio regulatory agency in accordance with the following requirements:

2- Family approval is now permitted for the following products as long as a) product features and function are identical, b) the appearance of the product is roughly the same (small changes including color and size are acceptable as long as they do not impact the RF parameters) and c) the embedded radio modules are already SRRC certified.

Honduras Launches Public Consultation to Update its National Frequency Allocation Plan

CONATEL has opened a public consultation on proposed amendments to Honduras' National Frequency Allocation Plan (PNAF). The draft introduces private IMT networks, expands the 6 GHz band for Wi-Fi 6E/7, enables additional Mobile Satellite Service allocations, and modernizes NGSO satellite regulations. The proposal does not change the country's type approval procedures or certification requirements.
