ESCCOM guidelines on the use of Licence Exempt Spectrum Bands

The guidelines outlines the applicable frequency allocations and technical standards for short-range devices (SRD). It also addresses emerging technologies such as Wi-Fi 6E, Ultrawide Bands (UWB), and the Internet of Things (IoT), among others. Additionally, the guidelines reaffirm the requirement that devices operating in the Licence Exempt Spectrum bands must undergo type approval before being permitted to enter and operate in the Malawian market.
