25-OCT-24

Following Eleos’s publication in June regarding the regulator's updated equipment approval regulations, we have learned that enforcement of the labeling requirements is set for December 1, 2024. The updated guidelines feature clear label artwork and specify where it must be placed for easy identification of MACRA-approved products. This initiative aims to strengthen product control and ensure that they meet the necessary safety and quality standards in Malawi.
The regulator is however still open to receiving feedback from stakeholders on the labeling requirements until November 15th. For more information, please contact Eleos.
