14-JUN-24

The Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) of Mexico has opened a public consultation to receive comments on the "Draft Agreement by which the Plenary of the Federal Telecommunications Institute modifies the other by which the Guidelines for the use of the IFT Seal of the Federal Telecommunications Institute on products, equipment, devices or apparatus intended for telecommunications or broadcasting are issued".

The document outlines proposed changes to the "Guidelines for use of the IFT Mark in approved products". The most significant change is the postponement of the guidelines' implementation to March 31, 2025. Other modifications include clarifications on how the IFT Mark should be displayed (color, contrast, minimum size), the requirement to include the prefix "IFT" and the Homologation Certificate number alongside the Seal, allowance for vertical or horizontal orientation of these elements, and provisions for products too small for physical or electronic marking. The vector file for the IFT Mark will be available online after the publication of these changes.

The consultation document can be downloaded from :- https://www.ift.org.mx/sites/default/files/industria/temasrelevantes/25460/documentos/1anexounicoselloiftclean.pdf

Interested parties may submit their comments, opinions, or contributions to the IFT via :  info.upr@ift.org.mx

The public consultation will be open from 14th of June until the 12th of August
