- Mandatory Scope: Certification is required for all equipment identified in the official list of products subject to mandatory conformity assurance.
- Technical Parameters: Equipment must strictly adhere to the National Radio Frequency Allocation Table and comply with international standards for Radio Frequency (RF), Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), and Safety.
- Scheme Validity: The new framework introduces specific certification schemes (1a, 4, 6, and 7), with validity periods lasting between 3 and 4 years depending on the equipment category and origin.
Testing and Surveillance Requirements
The conformity assessment process involves a documentation review and may include sample testing by the CRC. While test reports from recognized international laboratories are generally accepted, manufacturers should be aware of new post-market surveillance requirements. Certified products are now subject to annual audits, beginning one year after the certificate's issuance, to ensure continued compliance with Mongolian standards.
Furthermore, once a conformity certificate is granted, manufacturers are authorized and required to apply the official 'Certification Mark' to their equipment.
