This is a kind reminder to all manufacturers and importers that Serbian EMC and Safety certificates will become voluntary from 01.01.2022.

The change was introduced by the Serbian Ministry of Economy, whereby amendments on EMC and LVD Rulebooks were issued and published in the Official Gazette of the RS, No. 21/2020 on March 6th 2020.

Despite a change to a voluntary nature of the EMC & Safety Type Approvals in the new year, Eleos were advised by Kvalitet (Authority responsible for issuing EMC & Safety CoCs), that they will continue to welcome all applications as usual, considering there is still a high demand by the industry in obtaining these.

This change does not affect R&TTE Type Approvals in Serbia and these remain to be mandatory.
