The UAE Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority has issued the PRIMTE-UAE Framework for public consultation, proposing regulatory, spectrum and technical requirements for private IMT networks.
The proposed framework establishes a national regulatory basis for the authorization, deployment and operation of private mobile networks using International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT) technologies. These networks would provide dedicated connectivity to enterprises and government entities within defined geographic areas, supporting applications that require enhanced security, operational control, reliability and low latency.
