The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has introduced new requirements aimed at strengthening the security of the U.S. communications supply chain. Published on 11 September 2026, the Final Rule requires certain online marketplaces selling certified radiofrequency devices to display a valid FCC ID at the online point of sale. The wider rule takes effect on 13 October 2026, with marketplace compliance requirements being introduced from March and June 2027.
