Vietnam’s MIC have launched several new Draft Technical Standards for comment

Vietnam’s MIC have launched several new Draft Technical Standards for comment this month, including:

1)      National technical regulation on radio access equipment (Wi-Fi) in the 5 GHz band.
2)      National technical regulation on radar equipment operating in the band 76 GHz to 77 GHz for ground transport.
3)      National technical regulation on short range radio equipment in the frequency band 40 GHz to 246 GHz.
4)      National technical regulation on 5G mobile communication base station equipment - Radio access section.
5)      National technical regulation on the quality of Internet access services on 5G terrestrial mobile networks.
6)      National technical regulation on 5G mobile communication terminal equipment - Radio access section.

 The first three draft technical standards are based on their ETSI counterparts, namely EN 300 893 v2.1.1 (2017-05), EN 301 091-1 V2.1.1 (2017-01) and EN 305 550.

The 5G draft technical standards are based on 3GPP and ETSI standards.

The deadline for providing feedback is 04-May-21 for items 2) to 6) above and 18-May-21 for item 1).

The resulting official new standards are slated for introduction on 01-Jul-22.
