Argentina’s Ente Nacional de Comunicaciones (ENACOM) has issued Resolution 843/2026, postponing the implementation of the new RAMATEL regulatory framework introduced under Resolution 57/2026.

The new framework was originally scheduled to enter into force on 1 September 2026. The implementation date has now been officially postponed to 1 December 2026. ENACOM stated that additional time is required to complete pending implementation activities and ensure an orderly and effective transition to the new procedure.

What does this mean for Type Approval?

Until 30 November 2026, telecommunications equipment registrations in Argentina will continue to be processed under the existing framework established by Resolution 729/80 and its related regulations.

Approvals granted under the existing framework during this transition period will retain a three-year validity period. At the end of this period, they will need to be brought into compliance with the new RAMATEL framework; otherwise, the registrations will be automatically cancelled.

From 1 December 2026, the new RAMATEL framework established by Resolution 57/2026 is scheduled to become effective, and the legacy regulations identified in the Resolution will be repealed.
