Early November 2023 the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) opened a public consultation on proposed changes to the EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) requirements and regulation in Australia.
ACMA’s current proposal is to:
- - Repeal the Radiocommunications (Electromagnetic Compatibility) Standard 2017 and Radiocommunications Labelling (Electromagnetic Compatibility) Notice 2017.
- - Include the relevant EMC regulatory obligations in the Radiocommunications Equipment (General) Rules 2021.
Comments should be submitted by 5pm (AEDT), Wednesday 20 December 2023.
