Brazilian regulator ANATEL has issued 3 ACT's meant to be transitional during a public comment period. They have been published at the same time as Resolution 715 of 2019 comes into force and are complementary to that Resolution.

Act 2220 - Operational Procedure for the conformity assessment of Telecommunications Products by Certification.
This details the new rules and procedures by which assessment of product conformity by certification will be carried out.

Act 2221 - Labeling requirements and the use of e-labeling.
This outlines the labeling requirements for approved products and the conditions under which e-labeling may be used.

Specifically any product must include either one of the following :-
  • The ANATEL Seal, displayed according to the criteria in item 7 of the Resolution.
  • The word ANATEL followed by the approval code.
  • An e-label, this applies to devices with a display and it must be accessible without the need to enter any specific codes or passwords.

In the case of e-labeling, information about how to access the e-label must be clearly printed on the product packaging and user manuals. This information can also be made available on the product manufacturers website.

Act 2222 - Telecommunications products reference list.
This list classifies telecommunications products into families according to their uses and similarity and specifies which of the assessment models applies to each.
