Canada ISED Seeks Feedback on Expanded RSS-193 Broadband Equipment Standard

Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada has published a draft update to RSS-193 covering flexible-use broadband equipment in the 24.25–28.35 GHz and 37.6–40.0 GHz bands. 
The proposal applies to base stations, fixed-service systems and subscriber equipment, and introduces requirements for certification, transmitter power, unwanted emissions and labelling. 
Issue 2 also expands the scope of the previous standard by adding the 24.25–27.5 GHz and 37.6–40.0 GHz bands.

Cuba Clarifies the Validity of Existing Type Approval Certificates Under Resolution 2/2026

Cuba's Ministry of Communications (MINCOM) has officially clarified the implementation of the Transitional Provision under Resolution 2/2026. Certificates issued under the previous regulatory framework—including Homologation, Acceptance and Conformity Assessment Certificates—will remain valid until their original expiry date and do not require immediate re-certification. Renewals, however, will be processed under the new requirements introduced by Resolution 2/2026, while all new applications already follow the updated regulatory framework.
