The change to a five-year validity period, currently visible only through a QR code embedded on the Type Approval Certificates, has, for some time, been a source of uncertainty and confusion among certificate holders, due to the absence of any official regulatory confirmation.

Eleos has now obtained a formal communication from the regulator confirming the change. According to the regulator, this adjustment reflects an effort to align with regional and international standards, while taking into account feedback from past experience and current market dynamics.

An official regulatory decision is expected to be issued soon to formalize this development. The forthcoming directive will provide further details on the implementation of the new validity period, including its applicability to certificates previously issued with a three-year validity.

Eleos Compliance offer international RF, EMC, Safety and Green type approval services for radiocommunications products.

Eleos Compliance are a sustainable, values-based business combining extensive experience in the wireless homologation sector with outstanding project management.
