Wheels to School: Expanding Access to Education In Africa
Eleos are really proud to share the impact of our partnership with Re-Cycle Bikes to Africa, helping to remove one of the biggest barriers to education in rural communities: the journey to school!
Over the past two years, Eleos Compliance’s support has contributed to the shipment of more than 266 bicycles to Re-Cycle’s African partner organisations. These bicycles do far more than provide transport — they help children, particularly girls, stay in school and build brighter futures.

In many rural areas, students walk long distances each day, often in extreme heat and on unsafe roads. These journeys can take hours, leading to exhaustion, lateness, and, for some, dropping out of education altogether. A bicycle transforms that reality. Travel time is drastically reduced, energy is saved for learning, and attendance and punctuality improve.

Through Re-Cycle’s local partners, bikes are distributed via cycle-to-school programmes, reaching students who would otherwise struggle to attend school consistently. The impact extends further — supporting teachers with long journeys, strengthening local mechanics’ skills, and promoting sustainable access to affordable transport.

In 2026, Eleos will also support Re-Cycle’s Big Give Campaign, helping to double the impact of their contribution and enable even more bicycles to reach communities.

As Re-Cycle looks ahead, their ambition continues to grow:
“Our goal is to send over 10,000 bicycles in 2026, and we are incredibly grateful to Eleos for their continued support — we simply couldn’t do this work without partners like them.”
