TEC has published draft requirements for 5G Core-based mobile systems used in 5G Standalone networks in India.
The standard covers key 5G Core Network Functions such as AMF, SMF, UPF, AUSF, UDM, PCF and NRF, along with a range of optional functions.

It also sets requirements for Service-Based Architecture, 99.999% availability, scalability, fault tolerance, security, OMC/EMS management and database resilience.
Compliance will require field trials and test reports from TEC-designated laboratories.
