India TEC Extends Acceptance Period for ILAC Test Reports Under MTCTE

The Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC) of India has issued a notification dated December 29, 2025, confirming an extension in the acceptance timeline for ILAC-accredited test reports submitted under the Mandatory Testing and Certification of Telecom Equipment (MTCTE) scheme. 

According to the announcement, ILAC test reports issued by laboratories located in countries that do not share borders with India will be accepted until June 30, 2026, provided they meet the applicable technical requirements. 

This extension applies to the following categories of telecom equipment: 
  • - Cellular network base stations
  • - Subscriber Identity Modules (SIMs)
  • - VHF/UHF radio communication systems
  • - E-band fixed radio relay systems
