EU Updates Harmonised Standards for Radio Equipment with Decision (EU) 2025/893
The European Commission’s Decision (EU) 2025/893, adopted on 14 May 2025, updates the list of harmonised standards under the Radio Equipment Directive (2014/53/EU). It adds new and revised standards covering technologies like 5G, Wi-Fi (5 GHz and 6 GHz), radar, DECT, and satellite systems, ensuring radio equipment complies with EU safety, EMC, and spectrum use requirements. Older versions of these standards remain valid until November 2026, with an extended deadline until May 2028 for EN 301 893 V2.1.1.
