ANATEL publishes technical requirements for Wi-Fi 6E devices in Brazil

On 26 February 2021, National Telecommunications Agency (ANATEL) published technical requirements for Wi-Fi 6E devices in Brazil.

Act No. 1306 amends Act No. 14.448, which approved the Technical Requirements for the Conformity Assessment of Radio Communication Equipment Restricted Radiation, and includes requirements for equipment operating in the 5.925-7.125 MHz band.

Cuba Clarifies the Validity of Existing Type Approval Certificates Under Resolution 2/2026

Cuba's Ministry of Communications (MINCOM) has officially clarified the implementation of the Transitional Provision under Resolution 2/2026. Certificates issued under the previous regulatory framework—including Homologation, Acceptance and Conformity Assessment Certificates—will remain valid until their original expiry date and do not require immediate re-certification. Renewals, however, will be processed under the new requirements introduced by Resolution 2/2026, while all new applications already follow the updated regulatory framework.
