OFCA Releases New Type Acceptance Criteria for UAS and E-UTRA Equipment:

TAC 013: 1430-1444 MHz Band for Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS)
TAC 013 addresses radio equipment operating in the dedicated 1430–1444 MHz band for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). A key focus is on the maximum power limits, establishing three EIRP classes per channel: Class 1 at 42 dBm, Class 2 at 35 dBm, and Class 3 at 23 dBm. This TAC details the specific channel arrangements for this band and more key parameters such as Channel Bandwidth, Frequency Tolerance, ACLR, and Receiver Selectivity. The technical requirements are referenced by the regulation No. [2023] 252 published by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China (MIIT).

TAC 014: E-UTRA in the 1880-1920 MHz Band
TAC 014, outlines the requirements for Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access (E-UTRA) User Equipment. This equipment is required to operate within the 1880–1920 MHz unpaired band. While not specifying a mandatory EIRP for User Equipment, this TAC requires compliance with the transmit power limits specified in the relevant standards. These technical requirements mandate adherence to standards published by the ETSI and the 3GPP. The evaluation procedures are defined by standards such as ETSI EN 301 908-13 and 3GPP TS 36.521-1. This TAC also covers more key parameters that are established in the technical requirements.
