30-SEP-25

The draft Guidelines are designed to address the growing demand for high-speed, low-latency applications, which has driven increased use of the 6 GHz band for Wireless Access Systems (WAS) and Radio Local Area Networks (RLAN) in the lower 6 GHz range (5925–6425 MHz). Both systems adhere to IEEE 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) and ETSI EN 303 687 standards.

It also sets out minimum standards and technical requirements to ensure interference-free operation and apply to all parties involved in the development, production, import, sale, and use of WAS/RLAN equipment. Such equipment is subject to mandatory type approval under the NCC Type Approval Regulations 2024 and its associated Business Rules.

While there is currently no official call for comments, Eleos is closely monitoring the rollout of the Guidelines and will provide updates once the final draft is released.
